Job Title: Business Operations SpecialistOverview

The Business Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless settlement processes, and contributing to the growth of our Australian business. This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent analytical skills and experience in operational management.

Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Settlement Process Management: Oversee daily securities settlement and remittance operations, encompassing FX, stock/option settlement to ensure accurate and timely execution of all instructions.
  • Clients Transfer Process Facilitation: Ensure smooth client shares transfer process.
  • Corporate Actions Management: Manage Corporate Actions, both domestically and internationally.
  • Risk Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor operational and risk metrics, promptly escalating potential issues or anomalies.
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with customer service and marketing teams to enhance customer experiences.
  • Liquidity Management: Skilfully manage liquidity and minimize risk in coordination with the finance team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives to enhance operational processes and reduce risk.
  • Compliance Assurance: Close collaboration with compliance teams to maintain a robust AML and KYC program.
  • Control Testing: Testing controls to guarantee customers receive exceptional execution quality with venues.
  • Procedure Development: Formulate, review, and enhance operational procedures and workflows in response to regulatory changes and business conditions.
  • Reconciliation and Funding: Daily reconciliation of client/exchange/broker trades/option and positions, along with preparation of daily funding requirements.
  • Client Communication: Liaising with clients and counterparties to address settlement issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Project Participation: Active participation in projects and implementation of new business/system enhancements.
  • System UAT Planning: Planning and executing system User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Operations/Settlement/Remittance gained in financial or brokerage firms, or crypto related context.
  • Degree: Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the relevant rules and regulations of ASIC and AUSTRAC.
  • Presentation and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office Suite.
