
Support Specialist for Students with Autism

The Autism Hub plays a pivotal role in delivering autism-specific services and expertise across Queensland.
- Responding to incoming inquiries, providing timely, consultative and evidence-informed advice and support to parents and staff from Queensland schools and other organisations.
- Providing autism-specific support directly to regions and schools when demand exceeds regional capacity.
- Offering advice and support to schools with at-risk or critical incidents involving students with autism.
- Collaborating with key regional staff to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting schools in implementing inclusive practices for students with autism.
- Establishing relationships with stakeholders including school teams, parents and external agencies.
- Coaching school leadership teams to build staff capability in implementing evidence-based practices for students with autism.
- Delivering professional learning for school staff, regional leaders and communities on supporting students with autism.

Key qualifications include:
- Experience working with individuals with autism.
