The role of an Anaesthetic Nurse is a challenging career opportunity that involves ongoing care of patients throughout the intra-operative phase. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting the anaesthetist in providing high-quality patient care.
About the Job- You will assist the anaesthetist as directed with the ongoing care of patients throughout the intra-operative phase.
- Prepare all required equipment, ensuring correct functioning, for allocated operating lists.
- Maintain and develop clinical skills to manage patient health problems appropriate to your competency level.
- Ensure high standards of patient care by utilising resources effectively.
- Function within legal and registration constraints related to anaesthetic practice.
- Recognise hazards to patient safety and take appropriate action.
- You will have a minimum of 12-month experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician.
- Diploma qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Cert IV Anaesthetic Technology.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication, problem-solving ability, and ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision.
- Flexibility with rostering and commitment to teamwork are essential for this role.
