Role Summary:

An exciting career opportunity for Anaesthetic Nurses and Technicians to join a Casual Pool at Mount Hospital on a Casual basis.

  • Assist the Anaesthetist in ongoing patient care throughout the intraoperative phase.
  • Maintain and develop clinical skills to manage patient health problems appropriate to competency level.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, utilizing appropriate resources cost-effectively.
  • Function within legal and registration constraints in relation to anaesthetic practice.
  • Recognize hazards to patient safety and take appropriate action.
  • Use hospital equipment correctly and efficiently while adhering to work health and safety requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12-month experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Technician.
  • Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Certificate IV Anaesthetic Technology.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision.
  • Flexibility with rostering and commitment to teamwork.
