Senior Systems Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the IT department and support critical functions within a family office. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT strategy in alignment with business goals. You will provide leadership and vision for the IT department and ensure technology initiatives support the overall objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Provide leadership and vision for the IT department.
  • Ensure technology initiatives support the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Apple devices using Jamf Pro for Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Manage SaaS services such as Google Workspace and security platforms including CrowdStrike Falcon, 1Password, and YubiKeys.
  • Lead the management and operation of network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi hardware, switches, and firewalls.
  • Develop and implement robust security strategies to protect digital assets.
  • Help manage the custody operations of crypto digital assets.
  • Oversee relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Engage with senior executives and other stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years in IT systems administration and management, with extensive experience in enterprise Apple device setup, configuration, and management using Apple Business Manager and Jamf MDM.
  • Security Expertise: Deep background in information security, including experience with EDR, SASE, MDM, and SIEM platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in Python and SQL for developing data-driven solutions.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to lead IT departments, manage technology strategy, and execute complex IT projects.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale IT projects, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Compliance & Governance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT governance, data protection, and privacy.
  • Change Management: Ability to drive and manage change within the organization, including introducing new technologies and processes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
