About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Task Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components for our heavy equipment products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, including fabricated steel structures, weldments, and bolted assemblies.
  • Apply engineering disciplines, including machine design, strength of materials, structural fatigue, and advanced bolted joint design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, to ensure design meets quality and cost requirements.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including 2D and 3D models, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct failure analysis and develop solutions to prevent failures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in solid modeling software, such as Creo.
  • Experience with APQP quality management and cost-value management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
