Hotel Electrician Position

A Hotel Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring electrical systems and equipment in a hotel setting are properly installed, maintained, inspected, and repaired.

This role involves working on various electrical systems and equipment including guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, pools, elevators, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults such as lighting issues, power outages, and short circuits.
  • Replace faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Maintain and service backup generators and emergency systems.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with local safety and building codes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance schedules on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Support other maintenance staff with multi-disciplinary tasks when needed.
  • Respond to guest or staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep records of all work, inspections, and maintenance performed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical trade certification or journeyman license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
