The Planner is accountable to the Senior Commercial Project Manager and provides technical support to program and project requirements to obtain, track and update project schedules in line with budgets and contracts.
About YouCritical to your success in the role is your demonstrated experience and understanding of project controls in an engineering and project delivery capacity. You will have underlying knowledge and demonstrated experience of planning/scheduling software systems including but not limited to Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Key Accountabilities- Managing a schedule management service to key stakeholders, such as Project Managers and Project Directors in the required format (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project/Project Online)
- Implement and maintain processes to collect schedule inputs to replicate project progress, resourcing, critical path and other key schedule metrics for a live, virtual replication of project activity
- Responsible for producing weekly and monthly reports on project schedules that capture planned versus actuals, earned value, resourcing allocations, schedule progress, risks and other key criteria
- Proactively work within project, portfolio teams and project controls teams to obtain data in real time, updating schedules to reflect changes in time, cost and scope
- Identify and escalate schedule related matters that impact time, cost, scope, and resourcing to the relevant internal stakeholder, and work with stakeholder for best resolution outcome
- Accountable to reflect scheduled units and quantities to budgets, identifying earned value and burn rates to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Analyse resource demand and capacity through scheduling to enable tactical forward planning
- Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Degree qualification in Project Management, engineering (or related discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Certification in Primavera P6, MS Project and/or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Renewables/Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining and/or construction industry experience
- Exhibit strong proficiency in MS Excel
- 3-6 years of hands-on scheduling experience in large-scale construction projects
