Aged Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Aged Care Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a friendly, secure and comfortable residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and maintained at a high standard at all times.
  • Vacuuming, mopping and polishing floors.
  • Dusting, polishing and general tidying.
  • Cleaning bathroom facilities.
  • Attending to residents' personal requirements by ensuring the cleanliness of bedside cupboards, tables and other equipment or furniture located in the residents' room.
  • Assist with the provision of a safe, efficient and hygienic care service through maintaining a clean environment and adhering to infection control practices.
  • Replenish and restock cleaning trolleys as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ideal background in cleaning or housekeeping within aged care or hospitality.
  • Friendly, positive outlook and ability to work in a team.
  • Availability to work various shifts across various days.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Complete a police check.
  • 2025 flu vaccination (or willingness to obtain).
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination.
