About the Role

We are seeking a Contract Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in accordance with our requirements.

  • Maintain a log of events and report progress onsite, conveying written instructions and advice to and from the Superintendent, Contractor, and Principal’s Representative.
  • Review engineering reports and plans in relation to water supply and sewerage infrastructure and perform inspection services and supervise testing of works.
  • Conduct written quality audits to ensure construction performance and compliance to quality, safety, and environmental standards and legislations.

About You

  • Previous experience in overseeing contractors and onsite construction activities, coupled with relevant qualifications and a current Qld Electrical licence (unrestricted).
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering drawings and processes, and a working knowledge of water and sewerage infrastructure construction techniques.
  • A strong understanding of SCADA / PLC systems, radio / TCP / IP communications and instrumentation used in the water industry.
  • Previous experience in producing effective progress reports, coupled with experience in the delivery of capital infrastructure.
  • A safety-first attitude, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • C Class Driver’s Licence.
