Job Title: Mechanical Systems Technician

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Machinist to join our maintenance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment, as well as conducting installations and upgrades to ensure optimal efficiency.

  • Perform routine maintenance, repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Conduct installations and upgrades to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with a focus on minimising downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to plan and implement mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
  • Proven 3 year's experience as a fitter in manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
  • Forklift Ticket.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
