Job Title: Mental Health Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a part-time position working 2 days/week (30 hours/fortnight) that requires a minimum of two years' post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related setting.

The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with residents, families, and carers. You will possess excellent skills in comprehensive assessments, discharge planning, and counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments to identify appropriate interventions for residents.
  • Contribute to discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide exceptional quality care to residents and their families and carers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related setting.
  • Member or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Clinical understanding of mental illness treatment in inpatient, residential, or community settings.
  • Excellent skills in comprehensive assessments, discharge planning, and counselling.
