Job Title: Educational Leadership Specialist

 

The role of the Educational Leadership Specialist is to provide expert guidance and support to teachers in the implementation of effective literacy and numeracy practices across the curriculum. This involves collaborating with school leaders and staff to develop and implement strategies that promote high-quality teaching and learning, and to build the capacity of middle leaders in literacy and numeracy instruction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional learning opportunities for teachers to develop their skills and knowledge in literacy and numeracy instruction;
  • Collaborating with school leaders and staff to design and implement evidence-informed teaching strategies;
  • Building the capacity of middle leaders in literacy and numeracy instruction through coaching and mentoring;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of literacy and numeracy initiatives on student outcomes;

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated expertise in literacy and numeracy instruction, including experience in developing and implementing evidence-informed teaching strategies;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to achieve shared goals;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders;
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning;

 

Working Conditions:

  • This is a permanent part-time position, working 0.8FTE (four days per week).
