About the Position
This exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Dementia Consultant to join our team at HammondCare. As a key member, you will be responsible for enhancing the support provided to individuals living with dementia in a residential aged care setting.
Main Accountabilities
- Support staff to improve dementia care practices by providing guidance, advice, and training.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the skills and abilities of care staff in supporting individuals living with dementia.
- Collaborate with the Residential team to ensure that dementia care services are delivered in accordance with best practice principles.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and outcomes related to dementia care initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to dementia care.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- 3 years of experience working with people living with dementia.
- Registration as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional.
- Qualification in Training and Assessment (highly desirable).
- Proven ability to provide high-quality education and training to healthcare professionals.
