Design Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Design Assistant to join our team at Hanes Australasia. As a key member of our Design team, you will play a crucial role in the creation and execution of future concepts and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of seasonal colour and textile print designs.
  • Collaborate with designers to create tech packs, CADs, and product ranges in line with seasonal trend direction.
  • Liaise with garment technicians to ensure timely sample developments.
  • Complete small design projects under the guidance of your manager.
  • Utilize creative forecast services, magazines, and market analysis to inform trend directions and project work.
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams and international sourcing teams.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations and sales tools for internal range showings and sales conferences.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Fashion Design.
  • Understanding of fit and construction.
  • Innovative and creative approach to design and development.
  • Intermediate to High level experience in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Curiosity and team player capability.
  • Previous exposure to PLM system (preferred).
  • Passion for building, developing, and optimizing processes with sustainability and community in mind.
