Providing exceptional patient care requires a unique blend of clinical skills, empathy, and communication abilities. As a skilled Registered Nurse in Recovery, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop clinical skills to provide appropriate care for patients.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to deliver patient care.
  • Support hospital policies, procedures, and standards by adhering to them.
  • Act as the patient's advocate and facilitate their rights.
  • Provide patient education and act as a resource where necessary.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care in recovery.
  • Prioritize workload using available resources effectively.
  • Supervise Enrolled Nurses, students, and PCAs as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Show ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years previous theatre/recovery experience in a hospital environment, with postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
