Job Title: High-Level Data Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled data specialist to join our team as a high-level expert in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modern data engineering methods, including Databricks Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Lake, and distributed processing.

  • Design and develop scalable data solutions using best practices
  • Develop and enhance data-driven applications integrating with clients' systems
  • Create high-performance data pipelines employing advanced streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink

A key aspect of this role is to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance by optimising database technologies, big data frameworks, and cloud-specific data services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 8+ years of data engineering or equivalent experience
  • Databricks Platform expertise, including hands-on experience in designing and developing end-to-end data pipelines
  • Proficiency in SQL and Spark, familiarity with platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, and knowledge of various storage technologies
  • Experience in building and managing large-scale data systems, data modelling, and infrastructure configuration for data systems
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python and SQL, with additional experience in Java, Scala, GoLang, and Rust considered advantageous

You will also have strong communication and consulting skills, enabling you to effectively engage stakeholders and translate business requirements into practical data engineering strategies.
