Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting spatial business intelligence activities in collaboration with the existing team members.

  • Conduct Spatial Business Intelligence (GIS) specialist-level activities in collaboration with the existing team members and as guided by the GIS Team leader in creating deliverables (artefacts and work activities) as described by the Project Lead.
  • Review and create a design reference documentation set for ongoing planning use, including; The GIS functional design, including a design diagram and related glossary of terms and a master-list / register of current GIS Apps and related business functional user-base matrix for each GIS App.
  • Capture the documentation in a simple and standardized electronic format that can continue to be maintained by officers in the client's GIS team.
  • Document a Functional Equivalency Map (FEM) for all current GIS Apps to the equivalent standard functionality
  • Share GIS practice, industry knowledge and expertise with GIS team members and project team members, through regular structured engagements and day-to-day coaching and task allocation.
  • Support the Project Lead and GIS Team Lead with expert advice on the design and delivery of a complex enterprise system implementation project.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years' experience working in the GIS space.
  • Competent and experienced in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
  • Experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple varying size projects.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and GIS related outputs eg. web/desktop mapping, analysis, data management, scripts as well as review medium size project reports.
