Position Overview

As a Community Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care services tailored to the unique needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enabling clients to maintain their independence at home and engage with their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in accessing community resources and appointments.
  • Provide respite care for family caregivers, including overnight support when necessary.
  • Support clients with daily activities such as shopping and personal errands.
  • Deliver quality personal care, including assistance with bathing and dressing.
  • Help with household tasks and daily living activities, including meal preparation.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality service and the ability to foster relationships with clients.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Previous experience in supporting elderly clients or individuals with disabilities.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Current CPR certification (with at least 3 months until expiry) and First Aid certification (with at least 12 months until expiry).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.
  • Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 in accordance with public health guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care, or higher.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
