About the Role
Support Workers are at the forefront delivering quality care services in accordance with the needs of the clients. As a support worker you will undertake a variety of tasks to support clients to continue living at home and accessing their community. Support can be either in the home or out in the community.

What you could be doing:
-
Assist clients to access community facilities or appointments;
-
Provide carers with general respite and at times overnight respite;
-
Support clients with shopping and other daily activities.

Provide quality personal care assistance such as showering and dressing;

Provide assistance with housework and other areas of daily living including preparation of meals;
What we need from you:
-
A strong desire to provide quality service and the ability to make connections and build relationships so that you are welcomed into a client’s home;

Flexibility and ability to be adaptive;
-
Highly professional and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner;

Previous experience working and supporting older clients and/or clients with disabilities;
-
NDIS Workers Screening Check
-
Current CPR with at least 3 months until expiry and First Aid with at least 12 months until expiry;

Current driver’s license and own transport vehicle with insurance;
-
Minimum availability of 3 days per week;

Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Victorian Government Public Health Directions.
What would be great to have (but not essential):
-
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher;

Knowledge and experience in a similar industry or position
-
Fluency in a second language
