We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Squad Recruitment. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating exquisite sushi and sashimi dishes that delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Culinary Expertise: Prepare a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to traditional recipes and our restaurant's standards.
- Ingredient Selection: Select and handle the freshest ingredients with care, maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and food safety.
- Visual Presentation: Design and execute visually stunning presentations that enhance the dining experience.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, when necessary, to explain the dishes and offer recommendations.
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a Sushi and Sashimi Chef in a high-end Japanese restaurant is preferred.
- Culinary Techniques: Expertise in traditional Japanese culinary techniques, with a focus on sushi and sashimi preparation.
- Knife Skills: Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish and seafood varieties.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creativity: Creativity and a passion for Japanese cuisine, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
