About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technical Officer to join our team at Finucane Island. As an Electrical Technical Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the shift maintenance team in maintaining a safe, reliable, and operational plant. You will provide remote and in-field assistance and fault diagnosis support with electrical related breakdowns. Your area of responsibility will cover all operational plant/equipment and control systems across Finucane Island.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance and operation of electrical systems.
- Liaise with other technology support functions within BHP to ensure the network and systems are maintained and managed according to BHP policy and procedures.
- Conduct quality risk assessments and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with BHP's safety and quality standards.
- Electrical Trade Certificate (WA Electrical Licence) and/or electrical tertiary related discipline.
- Current, minimum C class valid driver's licence.
- Current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) - or able to obtain.
