Job Opportunity

We are seeking a casual support services worker to join our team at a not-for-profit organisation providing residential aged care services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards in daily operations
  • Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas to promote resident comfort and dignity
  • Cleaning communal and dining areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Cleaning and sorting laundry to maintain adequate supplies for residents
  • Maintaining stock levels of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use
  • Adhering to infection control principles and WHS requirements, including the safe storage and use of chemicals and completing cleaning tasks according to facility schedules
  • Completing required documentation and reporting tasks efficiently
  • Providing ad hoc support to the broader team as required

Key Requirements:

  • Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an aged care setting, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality support services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Current Police Certificate or willingness to obtain, and adherence to COVID-19 vaccination requirements
  • Strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes, with the ability to apply this knowledge in daily practice
