Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team based in Brisbane. As a key member of our Telecommunications/Wamarra team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of electrical detailed designs, producing cost estimates of materials and labour, supporting the construction team during project delivery, and updating databases and as-built drawings.

  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive electrical detailed designs that meet industry standards.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates of materials and labour required for projects.
  • Provide technical support to the construction team during project delivery, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely completion.
  • Update databases and as-built drawings to reflect changes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an Electrical Engineer or Designer is essential.
  • Technical proficiency in Low Voltage and DC power systems is necessary.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings and prepare bill of quantities is required.
  • Competency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is mandatory for preparing bill of quantities and tender cost estimates.
  • Knowledge of MS Access, MS Power Automation, and Power Apps is desirable.
  • A current manual driver's license is necessary.
  • Willingness to work away from home when required is essential.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, OH&S legislation/guidelines, and environmental legislation/licensing is necessary.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficient knowledge of solar and battery design for commercial markets.
  • Understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems is beneficial.
