INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN - QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

Located at the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, this role in a large, successful refinery offers an exciting opportunity for EWRB registered and experienced Industrial Electricians. Our client has four roles available in their safety-focused team of electricians and engineers.

The package includes:

  • NZ130k annual salary
  • Flights + 3 months accommodation + $NZ7000 relocation allowance offered to successful applicants
  • Relocate to coastal Queensland

Your responsibilities will include completing planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including high voltage repairs, to ensure continuous plant operation.

The Role

Your daily tasks will involve fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment such as pumps, transmitters, sensors, circuit breakers, RTDs, and more. You will also provide feedback on equipment defects and assist in planning preventative maintenance schedules.

About You
  • Current EWRB License (registered in New Zealand; non-citizens/residents are welcome)
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance and process control in high voltage environments
  • Proven breakdown repair experience
  • Exposure to gas and PLC-controlled systems is a plus
  • Experience with Bailey DCS systems, VSDs, DCS logic, and fault finding on complex circuits is highly regarded
  • Previous hazardous area work is desirable
  • Instrumentation experience
  • Understanding of electrical schematic drawings
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Experience in industrial environments like refineries, chemical plants, etc.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Ability to work safely both independently and in a team
  • Positive and motivated attitude
  • Industrial High Voltage qualifications and experience are essential
