Laboratory Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a key role in the quality control process of our products.
Your main duties will include chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished product and raw materials. You will be responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, both written and oral. Additionally, you will maintain equipment calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times.
You will also receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required. The position will be responsible for conducting tests in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
- Perform chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished product and raw materials
- Maintain equipment calibration schedules
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or diploma in Science, Biochemistry, Food technology or Microbiology
- Previous experience working in a laboratory, preferably in a food/dairy manufacturing environment
- Practical experience in a laboratory serving external or internal customers
- Experience in process root cause investigation and analysis
