Are you looking to take the first step towards a specialist career in Veterinary Medicine? The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) has an amazing 12 month Rotating internship program designed to kick start your career.

The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is a leading provider of veterinary services in the Southern Hemisphere, offering multi-disciplinary specialist and emergency services across multiple locations. At SASH, we are committed to providing exceptional care and service to pets, their families, and the veterinary community.

The Rotating Internship:

This prestigious program will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside our experienced specialists, providing care to our patients and their families. This program offers you a structured learning opportunity, providing you access to a varied case load with the support of the wider SASH team. You will rotate through Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care.

About You:

We are looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic vets with a thirst to learn. This is a challenging program and will require you to have an adaptable and proactive approach to situations. To be considered for a position, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong care and service orientation with a hands-on approach
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of SASH
  • Eagerness to have primary involvement in cases and look forward to tackling a high and interesting case load

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Tertiary qualified Veterinarian with minimum of 1-year experience is preferred, however we are certainly open to considering applications from newly graduated veterinarians as well.
  • Current registration or ability to register with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of QLD
