Robotics Specialist Opportunity

As a key member of our robotics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex robotic systems. This includes working with actuators, motors, sensors, and embedded electronics to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

About the Role

This is a challenging role where you will spend time in the lab and workshop building, testing, and iterating on our robots. You will work closely with engineers to troubleshoot issues, run diagnostic tests, and maintain our robots operating at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, assemble, calibrate, and test robotic subsystems including actuators, joints, and sensor arrays.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to validate new hardware and software integrations.
  • Maintain robots used for development, demos, and customer deployments, ensuring uptime and reliability.
  • Document processes, test results, and maintenance logs to inform continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve integration challenges and drive project success.
RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For
  • Diploma, trade qualification, or Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a robotics, mechatronics, or hardware workshop environment.
  • Strong practical skills in assembly, wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
  • Comfortable using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • A structured, methodical approach to testing and problem-solving.
