We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to lead our innovative Crisis Support Service.

About the Role:

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will provide clinical oversight and risk management within the Crisis Support Service. You will support and mentor Peer Workers and non-clinical staff, deliver basic mental health triage, and ensure appropriate referrals for clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and risk management within the CSS.
  • Support and mentor Peer Workers and non-clinical staff.
  • Deliver basic mental health triage and ensure appropriate referrals for clinical care.
  • Collaborate closely with the Emergency Department, Acute Care Team, and other services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Foster strong relationships with service providers to enhance referral pathways and treatment access.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment that upholds the dignity and well-being of consumers and carers.
  • Lead quality improvement and research initiatives to evaluate and evolve the service.

Requirements:

Four-year Psychology degree (Honours or Graduate Diploma) and registration with AHPRA. Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (Masters or Doctorate), or significant progress toward completion.
