Position Summary: We are currently seeking a proficient Mining Projects Supervisor to oversee our new mining initiative in the East Kimberley Region WA. This position has been created as part of our expansion efforts and requires an individual with substantial experience as a Shotfirer and proven leadership skills. As we build our team, your expertise will be crucial in guiding recruitment and selection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate teams on a scheduled basis, utilizing your shotfirer certification and adeptness in managing operational timelines.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to enhance recruitment strategies, providing insights to select suitable candidates.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards while supporting drill and blast teams.
  • Organize and allocate equipment, personnel, inventory, and resources to achieve optimal performance.
  • Mentor and guide team members to foster a unified and high-achieving workforce.
  • Work closely with the site manager to promote ongoing improvements in drill and blast practices, emphasizing a culture of safety.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years in supervisory roles within blasting or drilling operations, holding a current shotfirer certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in team scheduling and people management.
  • Experience in recruitment processes, effectively collaborating with HR.
  • Skills in developing and managing customer relationships.
  • Possession of a current HR and forklift license; Shotfirers or Dangerous Goods ticket is highly desirable.
  • Preferably possess technical service experience in mining operations.
  • Physically fit for outdoor work involving extended periods of physical activity.
  • Ability to pass National Criminal History Check/SSAN, pre-employment medical assessments, and Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • Strong communication skills for effective relationship-building and leadership.
