Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mining Projects Supervisor to lead our new venture in the East Kimberley Region WA. This position is critical as we establish our team for this significant project. The ideal candidate will possess a valid shotfirer ticket and demonstrate strong leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate teams on a scheduled basis, utilizing your shotfirer qualifications and expertise in effective schedule management.
  • Collaborate with HR to enhance recruitment processes, providing insights to select suitable candidates for the team.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting drill and blast crews.
  • Strategically plan and allocate equipment, personnel, inventory, and resources to achieve optimal operational results.
  • Mentor and manage team members to foster a cohesive and high-performing work environment.
  • Work closely with the site manager to promote continuous improvement in drill and blast operations, emphasizing a culture of safety.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years in supervisory roles within blasting or drilling operations, with a current shotfirer ticket.
  • Proven leadership skills in team scheduling and people management.
  • Experience in recruitment processes, effectively liaising with HR.
  • Strong customer relationship development and management skills.
  • Current HR and forklift licenses; Shotfirers or Dangerous Goods ticket is highly desirable.
  • Technical service experience within mining operations is preferred.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors, involving extended periods of physical activity.
  • Ability to pass National Criminal History Check/SSAN, pre-employment medicals, and Drug and Alcohol screening.
  • Excellent communication skills for relationship-building and leadership.
