Pediatrician Position in Limestone Coast Local Health Network

This Staff Specialist Paediatrician role is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of paediatric patients at the Limestone Coast Local Health Network.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide medical services and expert consultations within the Paediatric Unit, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
- Clinical Leadership: Foster a collaborative team environment by offering clinical leadership and supervising trainee medical officers.
- Documentation and Communication: Ensure accurate documentation of clinical care in electronic medical records and timely communication with referrers.
- Administrative Support: Engage in administrative activities related to clinical service provision and assist the Head of Unit in planning and organizing services.
- Community Networking: Develop community networks that support the Unit's objectives and attend outpatient clinics as required.
- Emergency Services: Provide after-hours emergency paediatric services and participate in the on-call roster as needed.
- Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric care within local and regional referral networks.
- Skills: Proven background in managing paediatric patients effectively.
- Quality Improvement: Experience in engaging in quality improvement activities to enhance healthcare delivery.
- Research and Education: Background in research and teaching, contributing to the advancement of paediatric practices and education.
