Job Title: Training Design Consultant
The role of the Training Design Consultant is to design, develop and implement training programs for Downer's group solutions.
This involves creating engaging, relevant and effective resource materials including multimedia, instructor-led training resources, eLearning modules and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) to meet Downer's global solutions training requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and validating capability-based training and assessment materials in accordance with target audience needs;
- Researching, analysing and providing recommendations for continuous improvement of training courses, resource/support tools, assessment materials and business system related processes;
- Providing adult learning principles and instructional design support, advice and guidance on emerging instructional design strategies and initiatives to fellow team members;
- Participating in planning for and delivery of training support at go-live;
- Delivering training content to upskill end users and ensuring developed content enables a high-quality training outcome that coincides with global system deployment;
- Communicating changes to existing training courses or introduction of new training courses or associated processes to key stakeholders within Downer;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles;
- Demonstrated research skills to locate, evaluate and provide recommendations on available training content and delivery packages;
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering enterprise Finance and/or HR systems training;
- Demonstrated ability using rapid authoring software for online learning instructional design;
- Demonstrated ability to upload compliant eLearning content into learning management systems;
- Demonstrated experience in delivering face to face training, including the use of technology such as MS Teams for virtual engagement;
