Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to design, build, and maintain network security infrastructure.

  • Provide expert support and management for secure networks and telecommunications systems.
  • Support system design, planning, and implementation while investigating and resolving faults and user-reported issues.
  • Prepare reports and proposals to recommend system improvements and provide technical support as needed.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing submissions, specifications, plans, contracts, and documentation for new system components and system upgrades.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT security principles including the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

About You
  • A recognised Diploma in a relevant IT or Engineering field is required as a minimum qualification.
  • 7+ years supporting complex network security with expertise in Network Security Gateway technologies and architecture.
  • Experience in detecting and responding to security threats using analytic tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly on technical topics.
  • Must be an Australian citizen with Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it.
  • Advanced certifications in cybersecurity are essential, but relevant industry experience may be accepted as an alternative.
