This Opportunity

The Asia Pacific (APAC) Palladium corporate team drives and delivers projects for the APAC region, aligning with our global strategic initiatives and purpose of 'Catalysing an enriched future for all'. As the Regional Finance Director, you will lead the APAC Finance Team and be responsible for the effective financial management and compliance of the APAC regional business and its 40+ projects across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and advise the Regional Leadership Team in achieving financial strategies and goals
  • Communicate financial matters and issues with the Regional Managing Director, Regional Leadership Team, and the Group CFO
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and reports to regulatory agencies
  • Liaise with project leaders and oversee financial aspects of APAC's 40+ projects
  • Develop and implement internal controls for processing, accounting, reporting, and safeguarding of funds and assets
  • Review Financial Management and Accounting processes to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Work closely with Global finance functions to ensure consistency and compliance with Global processes and procedures
Requirements
  • Broad-based experience in finance positions, preferably in APAC, with experience in small and large organisations, global operations, and professional services activities
  • People management experience, including setting performance objectives, managing for results, and mentoring/coaching staff
  • Managerial experience within corporate finance or audit
  • Proven ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial managers
  • Extensive understanding of accounting standards and relevant tax legislation
  • Demonstrated personal and situational awareness to build stakeholder confidence and positive relationships
  • High standard of written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in a job cost accounting environment and the professional services sector
  • Experience working in multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional regions
