About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive Speech Pathology support to individuals with progressive neurological diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Huntington's disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide home-based Speech Pathology support to individuals with progressive neurological diseases
  • Work closely with the NDIS Provider Service Allied Health Staff, Bethlehem clinical staff, and other external stakeholders to provide a collaborative service
  • Prescribe Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including writing funding applications
  • Manage dysphagia, secretions, and communication in individuals with progressive neurological diseases
Requirements
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • NDIS Worker Check required
  • Current driving license
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in progressive neurological disease management, including MND and Huntington's Disease
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge and expertise in NDIS funding processes and report writing
  • Dysphagia management experience is essential
  • Experience with AAC and multi-modal communication is desirable
