Automotive Workshop Assistant Role Summary:

This role is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the workshop team.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

  • Liaise with staff and customers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Answer phone calls and manage customer bookings efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough checks and cleaning of customers' vehicles.
  • Pick up parts from suppliers as needed.
  • Coordinate customer drop-offs and pick-ups with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office and workshop environment.
  • Assist the Store Manager as required, supporting the team in achieving goals.
  • Collaborate with mechanics to optimize workshop efficiency.
  • Accurately record data into the system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Desire to learn both on-the-job and through external training.
  • Passion for the automotive industry and its technologies.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Confidence in handling phone communications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Able to accurately understand and follow instructions.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software.
  • Previous administration experience in the automotive sector is advantageous but not essential.
  • Valid manual driver's license with a good driving history.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
