Wildlife Sanctuary Volunteer Opportunity

A unique chance to trade the ordinary for an extraordinary adventure awaits in Hawaii.

This volunteer role combines meaningful work with island living in one of the world's most stunning natural settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work hands-on with a variety of exotic and native Hawaiian species by feeding, cleaning, and supporting enrichment activities.
  • Maintain habitats and support enrichment activities to create a safe and enriching environment for rescued animals.

The work is physically demanding, but it's incredibly rewarding, offering a chance to contribute to the care and well-being of animals that require special attention and sanctuary.

Island Living:

Located on the lush and diverse Big Island, the sanctuary provides a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path experience where your days are filled with purposeful tasks and your free time is yours to explore volcanoes, beaches, waterfalls, and vibrant island culture.

Volunteers typically work five days a week, with two days off to relax or adventure. This is not just a beach escape – it's a chance to make a tangible impact in wildlife care while living in paradise.

What We Offer:

  • Orientation and project-related activities.

Does not include flights, travel insurance, personal spending, visas, or vaccinations. A great opportunity to gain experience in animal care and conservation, all while contributing to a safe and enriching environment for rescued animals.
