About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Cadia Valley Operations. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for delivering installations, maintenance, and monitoring of geotechnical support and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-field maintenance and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems.
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues related to geotechnical instruments.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and calibration to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Install, calibrate, and commission geotechnical instruments and monitoring equipment.
  • Collect and collate data on instrument health and performance.
  • Conduct geotechnical risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with Instrumentation engineers and construction teams.
  • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Identify and implement safety measures to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting of instrumentation installations, data collected, and analysis performed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in instrumentation maintenance and commissioning of monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand geotechnical instrumentation systems.
  • Sound understanding of risk assessment processes and techniques.
  • Current manual driver's license.
