The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Domestic Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Care Domestic Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing domestic assistance, social support, and transportation services to our clients in Bendigo and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing domestic assistance, including meal preparation and household chores
  • Observing clients' physical, emotional, and behavioural status, and reporting any observations or concerns
  • Assisting clients with activities that contribute to a clean, tidy, and safe living environment
  • Ensuring clients' clothing and personal belongings are kept safe and well-maintained
  • Providing social support and transportation services as required
  • Ensuring that clients' rights, cultural, spiritual, and other individual needs are respected in all aspects of care and daily living
  • Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with clients, their relatives, and friends
About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their work and dedicated to improving the lives of our clients. To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
  • Previous experience in a home care setting or in providing domestic support (desirable)
  • Knowledge of community care and a commitment to maintaining high standards for clients and their families
  • An understanding of client-directed care
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment while also valuing one-on-one interactions
