Job Overview

This is a field application specialist role that supports customers across Australia and New Zealand, providing technical support to internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will have strong technical understanding of laboratory procedures and changing trends, excellent presentation and training skills, and experience in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western Blotting and imaging.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site application, training support and troubleshooting to customers.
  • Develop training programs for organisational members and customers.
  • Conduct system seminars, installations, training and connectivity solutions.
  • Provide high-level technical support to customers.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Support sales personnel pre and post-sale.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3+ years technical experience in a life science laboratory.
  • A PhD in Life Sciences or an associated discipline is highly desirable.
  • Superior technical and application knowledge of life science methodologies and data management software is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Experience with Bio-Rad instruments/software is highly advantageous.
