Job Description

We are seeking a senior maintenance professional to lead the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance across our road and tunnel network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring assets are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. This includes delivering the Annual Maintenance Plan across QLD through our core maintenance contractor, optimising budget while achieving safety, reliability, and durability outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring maintenance activities meet asset standards, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements.
  • Overseeing supplier performance, incident management, hazard reporting, and improvement initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with contracting service organisations to optimise maintenance processes.
  • Leading a culture of health, safety, and environment (HSE) excellence, ensuring policies and standards are embedded across all teams and contractors.
  • Providing accurate maintenance performance reporting and ensuring asset registers and condition data are current.

This role will suit someone with significant maintenance asset management experience in complex operational environments, ideally in infrastructure.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Significant experience managing a contracted maintenance provider.
  • Strong compliance and risk management skills, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control assurance.
  • Proven people leadership experience and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive, flexible nature and the resilience to adapt in a constantly changing work environment.

Preferred qualifications include postgraduate qualifications in Management, Finance, or Risk Management, and strategic leadership experience with a proven track record in improvement initiatives.
