Job Opportunity

Within the Defence Industry, a pivotal role exists to support the Australian Defence Force at various locations. The team's expertise ensures effective and sustainable delivery across operations, maintenance, asset management, and fuel supply services.

This opportunity presents a unique chance to work with defence personnel while enjoying the benefits of collaborating with a leading service provider. Working as one team, fuel delivery is performed to the RAAF and other Defence stakeholders on base.

The Role

Reporting through to a leading hand or supervisor, day-to-day directions come from the Commanding Officer or similar of the particular squadron worked with. Key duties include:

  • Operate fuel tanker trucks around the fuel installation and defence base
  • Collaborate with operators to safely load the fuel tank truck with required fuel
  • Deliver fuel to designated points such as refuelling points, aircraft on the runway etc
  • Operate pumps on the tanker truck for efficient fuel delivery to aircraft
  • Communicate with internal and external teams for good customer experience

A strong team player, self-starter, and dedicated employee will draw on their experience and diverse skills to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements
  • MC/HC Driver's Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence
  • Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential
  • Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry is highly regarded
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
  • Current holder of relevant security clearances
