The Opportunity

In this role as Policy Officer, you will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies that contribute to improving the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

  • Policy Development: Assist in researching and analysing policy issues to create policy briefs, papers, and submissions.
  • Research: Support data collection and analysis activities, ensuring evidence-based insights inform policy recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in stakeholder meetings and forums, assisting in gathering feedback and fostering meaningful relationships.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports, briefing documents, and presentations to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance to policy-related projects, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and align with team objectives.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the team's success by sharing insights and learnings from research and engagement activities.

You will use your tertiary qualifications in health or relevant professional experience to contribute to policy development and implementation.

We seek individuals with a proven ability to deliver strategies that achieve measurable outcomes in the not-for-profit or public policy space.

You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, even under pressure.
