Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Lakeside Lilydale campus. This exciting opportunity will involve working in a 3 year old Kinder room, providing innovative education and care programs for children aged 3-4 years old.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting health and safety within a positive environment that is nurturing, safe and stimulating. They will engage with families and children, administer relevant records and implement diverse educational programs.

We encourage the incorporation of special interests into the children's education, such as physical education, music, cultural celebrations and healthy eating habits. Our centre promotes a positive, engaging work environment and provides opportunities for team building and professional development.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Early Childhood Teacher qualification
  • A First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
  • Demonstrated experience within early childhood education and knowledge of childhood learning and developmental health, specifically within a Kinder room
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory factors that govern the delivery of early childhood services
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for ELC and working in a close team environment
  • The ability to be flexible within the ELC environment and adapt to changing circumstances

The Box Hill Institute Lakeside Lilydale campus serves the local community as an active learning centre with a range of vocational and higher education courses. We are a Child Safe Organisation and have a zero tolerance towards the harm or abuse of children and young people.
