About the Role

The Senior Educator - OSHC Service Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service, ensuring compliance with all regulations, supporting staff, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the service consistently operates in full compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework (NQF), and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead the team in critical reflection and self-assessment processes to identify areas for enhancement, ensuring that the service not only meets but exceeds regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Implement and maintain daily quality assurance and risk management practices to ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and well-being.
  • Communication and Community Engagement: Act as a point of contact for families, addressing their concerns and providing information about the service. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
  • Professional Development and Training: Foster a culture of professional growth by encouraging ongoing training, mentorship, and development opportunities for all staff.
About You

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Educator - OSHC Service Leader who possesses:

  • Experience working within a school, OSHC, and/or early education centre.
  • Program Planning and Delivery skills, with experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities that meet the needs and interests of children.
  • Leadership and Management skills, with experience in leading teams and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Qualifications in Children's Services, OSHC, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Child Protection Qualifications, First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis management certification.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
