About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Collector to join our team at Lifeblood's Rockhampton Donor Centre. As a Phlebotomy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our donors throughout their donation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
  • Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and equipment for safe and efficient donations
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist with scheduling their next appointment

You will work collaboratively with our experienced team to achieve collection targets and provide an exceptional donor experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Tuesday to Saturday
  • Occasional lifting of 9-22.7kgs and frequent standing, walking, and bending
