We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing evidence-based direct counselling support to clients with a range of mental health needs. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively liaise with a wide range of people, including teachers, parents, and other professionals.

  • Key responsibilities include delivering capability building and awareness raising activities for staff and/or students on key mental health and wellbeing issues affecting the school's student population.
  • Input into the development, implementation and evaluation of processes and strategies aimed at enhancing mental health and wellbeing prevention, promotion and early intervention.
  • Assess, conceptualise and analyse wellbeing issues, and provide direct counselling support to clients with a range of mental health needs.
  • Coordinate supports for young people with complex needs, including referrals to specialist services as appropriate.
