
Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing evidence-based direct counselling support to clients with a range of mental health needs. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively liaise with a wide range of people, including teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Key responsibilities include delivering capability building and awareness raising activities for staff and/or students on key mental health and wellbeing issues affecting the school's student population.
- Input into the development, implementation and evaluation of processes and strategies aimed at enhancing mental health and wellbeing prevention, promotion and early intervention.
- Assess, conceptualise and analyse wellbeing issues, and provide direct counselling support to clients with a range of mental health needs.
- Coordinate supports for young people with complex needs, including referrals to specialist services as appropriate.
The successful candidate will be committed to promoting positive relationships between students, teachers, and the wider community. They will have a strong commitment to literacy and numeracy across the whole school and will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve academic success and high standards of behaviour.
