We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team in the Pacific Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects and programs in the Pacific region, with a focus on infrastructure and maritime security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Analyse and interpret performance against agreed plans and forecast project outcomes.
  • Oversee budget development and cost estimation activities for existing projects and new policy proposals.
  • Build and sustain stakeholder engagement, including communication with influence and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.

About Our Team:

Pacific Division provides many opportunities for engagement and collaboration. The Division's primary role is to provide program delivery and support to Pacific partners. The Branches within the Division deliver capability development programs, including infrastructure, maritime security, and Defence Cooperation Programs.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who can work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in infrastructure and maritime project management, including project financial management.
  • Highly developed professionalism and interpersonal skills to liaise, collaborate, and build productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Evaluate project performance against critical success factors and leading indicators, recommending changes where necessary.
  • Proactively and autonomously manage multiple tasks, prioritise competing deadlines, and deliver agreed business outcomes within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrate highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent in high-level committees and provide high-quality and well-considered reports on project achievement.
