We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Person Support Specialist to join our care team.

This role involves providing high-quality support to young people with complex needs, including trauma backgrounds and disabilities.

As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide stability, consistency, and security for our young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">Embedding strong practice frameworks into daily habits
  • Providing detailed written reports following policy and legislative requirements
  • Supporting the involvement of family and significant others and promoting positive relationships
  • Engaging with stakeholders within the community to support the development of children and young people
  • Providing essential needs for the children and young people
  • Supporting children and young people with complex needs and disabilities
  • Encouraging independent living skills">

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • ">A Certificate IV or higher in Youth and Community Services or related field
  • A current blue card (or willing to obtain)
  • An open driver's license
  • LCs clearance obtained within the last 2 years (or willing to obtain)
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills">

Preferred qualifications include minimum 6-12 months experience working with children/young people with complex behaviours, mental health, trauma backgrounds &/or disability.
